Borsa İstanbul’s Opening Bell Rang for Ata Turizm

In his address at the Opening Bell Ceremony, Korkmaz Ergun, the CEO of Borsa İstanbul A.Ş., stated the following: 

“Distinguished Guests,

Today, I welcome you all to the Opening Bell Ceremony hosted by our Exchange as we celebrate the listing of Ata Turizm at Borsa İstanbul.

The tourism sector holds a strategic position for our country in terms of employment, added value, and foreign currency earnings. Therefore, the resources provided to the tourism sector from capital markets are highly valuable for the sustainable growth of the tourism sector.

In this context, Ata Turizm will use the proceeds from its IPO for operational investments, thereby continuing its activities with a more robust financial structure. Furthermore, Ata Turizm has taken an important step towards institutionalization by starting to be traded on our Exchange today.

I would like to extend my thanks to the management and employees of Ata Turizm, the intermediary institution, and all stakeholders who contributed to this process. I hope this IPO will be beneficial for Ata Turizm, our investors, our tourism sector, and our capital markets.”
