In article 5.5.d of the BIST Market Cap Weighted Stock Indices Ground Rules (Ground Rules), it is stated that the minimum requirements specified in article 5.5.b and the rule specified in article 7.6 will not be applied to the companies included in the BIST Sustainability Index as of July 30, 2021 until the end of September 2022 in order to facilitate the transition to the new methodology.

In this context, Borsa Istanbul Management has made the following decisions:

• As of September 30, 2022, the stocks of companies that cannot meet the minimum rating requirement specified in Article 5.5.b of the Ground Rules based on the data of year 2020 or 2021 will be excluded from the index and stocks of companies that meet the minimum rating requirement based on the periodic review will be included in the index both valid from the fourth quarter of 2022 (10/01/2022 – 12/31/2022).

• Depending on the periodic review results of BIST Sustainability Index, constituent list of the BIST Sustainability Participation Index, which consists of companies that meet each criteria of the BIST Sustainability Index and the BIST Participation All Index, has been changed accordingly valid from the fourth quarter of 2022 (10/01/2022 – 12/31/2022).
