\r\n \r\n Advisory Board\r\n \r\n \r\n

\r\n

The studies to determine the companies to be included in the indices are made with the cooperation of the Advisory\r\n Board within the body of the Participation Banks Association of Türkiye (TKBB), and are based on the \"Share Certificate Issuance\r\n and Trade Standard\" (Standard) and supporting documents and guide created by the Advisory Board.  \r\n

\r\n

\r\n Participation\r\n Finance Principles Information Form (KAFIF Form) is created based on Standard and guide to assess companies\r\n whether they are eligible or not. The answers given in the Information Form by the companies that have just started\r\n trading are published in the IPO prospectus.\r\n

\r\n

Companies are responsible for updating the data in the KAFIF Form. In this context, if there is an update in the data\r\n in the KAFIF Form after the date they started trading or if the financial statements are announced on the Public\r\n Disclosure Platform every 6 months, they are expected to update their KAFIF Forms. They are expected to reply the\r\n questions in the KAFIF Form based on Standard and guide.

\r\n

Questions from companies, investors or other interested parties regarding matters that are not expressly included in\r\n the Standard or supporting documents and guide are forwarded to the Advisory Board and an evaluation is made based\r\n on the answers received.

\r\n

For questions regarding purification, the relevant guide of the TKBB Advisory Board can be accessed here.

\r\n \r\n Determination of the Constituents of Indices\r\n \r\n \r\n

\r\n

\r\n In periodic reviews, while determining the constituents of the indices, the following stages are\r\n followed, respectively, by taking into account the answers given by the companies in the Information Forms\r\n according to the relevant financial statement period: \r\n \r\n

\r\n

\r\n     1)   At the first stage, company shares that are not\r\n included in the BIST Stars Market, BIST Main Market or Sub-Market as of the beginning of the index period are\r\n excluded from the scope. \r\n \r\n

\r\n

\r\n   2)  At the second stage, if the activities listed in the articles of\r\n association of the company itself, its legal entity partners or its affiliates include the activities mentioned\r\n in the article 1.2 of the Standard, the relevant company shares are excluded. Details and exceptions regarding\r\n these activities are given in supporting documents and guide. \r\n \r\n

\r\n

\r\n     3)   At the third stage, company shares that have financial\r\n privileges as profit or liquidation share privileges in company shares or usufruct shares are excluded from the\r\n scope. \r\n \r\n

\r\n

\r\n    4)   At the fourth stage, company shares that have a\r\n statement and/or decision supporting the actions defined in Standard article 1.5 and Guide article 1.D are\r\n excluded from the scope. \r\n \r\n

\r\n

\r\n    5)   At the fifth stage, company shares that have activities\r\n and/or income that are considered directly contrary to the Participation Finance Principles are excluded from\r\n the scope. \r\n \r\n

\r\n

\r\n     6)   At the sixth stage, it is checked whether the\r\n companies exceed the following conditions; \r\n \r\n

\r\n

\r\n          a)      The ratio of the revenues\r\n obtained from the activities specified in the Standard article 1.1 in the total revenues shall not exceed 5%,\r\n \r\n \r\n

\r\n

\r\n         b)      The ratio of interest bearing\r\n assets in the financial statement to the total assets shall not exceed 33%,\r\n \r\n \r\n

\r\n

\r\n          c)      The ratio of interest\r\n bearing debts in the financial statement to the total assets shall not exceed 33%, \r\n \r\n

\r\n

\r\n Company shares exceeding the specified rates are excluded from the scope. \r\n \r\n

\r\n

\r\n Stocks which are included in the index will remain in the index until the next periodic review\r\n provided that ratios do not exceed the threshold by 10% in any of mentioned ratios. If the threshold value is\r\n exceeded in any of the ratios in two consecutive periodic reviews, the stocks of the company are removed from\r\n the index. \r\n \r\n

\r\n

\r\n Companies are required to answer the questions regarding the financial period in the KAFIF Forms,\r\n based on the most recent annual or 6-month financial statements that have been independently audited.
