Borsa İstanbul VIOP participated in the 11th Annual FIA Asia Derivatives Conference -the leading derivatives conference of Asia- from December 8th to 10th, 2015 in Singapore.

At the panels spanning two days, recent trends and future of derivatives markets were discussed, over 500 derivatives sector professionals and 50 speakers participated in the panels. 32 financial institutions and exchanges including Borsa İstanbul had their booths. During the event, Borsa İstanbul VİOP had the chance to talk to asset management firms, risk management firms, exchanges, brokerages firms, market makers and HFT firms. The winners of 3rd and 4th VİOP Virtual Portfolio Competition (VİOPS) also participated in the event. Over the course of two days, VIOP officials Bora Akdeniz and Kemal Burçak Kaplan informed more than 100 international investors who visited Borsa İstanbul VIOP booth on recent developments such as increased trade volume of VIOP by 33%, increased trade volume of FX futures by 230%, increased volume in options contracts by 7-fold to 6.3 billion TRY during the first 11 months of 2015. VIOP has become the fastest growing derivatives market of the world with this performance. With 63% retail participation rate and rapid-growing trade volume, VIOP became the most attractive derivatives market place among all exchanges. Furthermore the new Revenue Sharing based Market Making program which is being applied to new contracts at VIOP generated much interest among other exchanges.
