Bell-ringing ceremony at Borsa İstanbul, which has so far been open to publicly traded companies only, will be available for legal persons as well. Henceforth, companies will be able to ring the bell at Borsa İstanbul on the occasion of special days or to raise awareness on a certain subject.

Turkey’s only exchange Borsa İstanbul has created a brand new platform for company celebrations. Bell-ringing ceremony at Borsa İstanbul, which has so far been open to publicly traded companies only, will be available for legal persons as well.

The opening and closing of exchanges is announced by ringing the bell. In time, this symbolic act has taken a step further, becoming a celebration for companies and countries. Therefore, Borsa İstanbul decided to prepare special packages for all legal persons for their occasions and celebrations. From now on, companies will be able to ring the bell at Borsa İstanbul at the session opening at 09:15 or closing at 17:40 in order to raise awareness. In addition to the companies traded on Borsa İstanbul, all legal persons including companies that are not publicly traded, chambers of industry and commerce, universities, and professional organizations will be able to acquire all services concerning the bell-ringing ceremony from Borsa İstanbul.

Borsa İstanbul CEO Tuncay Dinç said that this practice has its examples in the world, allowing companies and other organizations to celebrate special occasions, launch new products, or raise awareness on certain subjects. Dinç mentioned that bell-ringing ceremonies have significant advantages for reaching the desired audience, adding, “For those companies intending to organize bell-ringing ceremonies, we will offer assistance at every stage. Thanks to the experience we have gained in organizing bell-ringing ceremonies for publicly traded companies, and the contributions of our professional staff, Borsa İstanbul will be assisting companies to raise their voices through bell-ringing ceremonies.”
