Borsa İstanbul VIOP attended CIS & CEE Conference held at London Stock Exchange on March 26, 2015.  

The conference focused on the current market environment in the CIS & CEE region, including investment flows, growth forecast and access to capital markets. Key industry experts led a series of panel discussions covering all aspects of primary and secondary markets.

More than 150 senior executives of the Russia, CIS & CEE private and public companies, and buy and sell-sides participated in the conference.

The keynote address of the conference was delivered by Borsa İstanbul Derivatives Market Group Director Mr. Muammer ÇAKIR. In his speech, Mr. Çakır discussed the enormous potential of Turkish Capital Markets with its export-oriented diversified economy, dynamic corporations and positive demographics. Mr. Çakır also invited investors and recommended not to miss the opportunity to participate and benefit from the Turkish growth story.

In the afternoon session, the “Secondary Markets trading profile – Turkey” panel was moderated by the Mr. Nicolas Bertrand, Head of Equity & Derivatives, LSEG. On the panel, Mr. Muammer ÇAKIR explained the remarkable transformation of Turkish Capital Markets in the last couple of years and the vision of Borsa İstanbul, as a multi-asset platform, in its region. He also emphasized the benefits of the recently signed partnership agreement between Borsa İstanbul and London Stock Exchange Group.
