Borsa İstanbul Private Market, which is a platform for early stage start-ups and rising companies that have already covered a distance in their endeavors, offered its members an Entrepreneurship Training in cooperation with Özyeğin University Girişim Fabrikası (Entrepreneurship Factory).

Borsa İstanbul Private Market accelerates its efforts aimed at its members. Having reached more than 200 members since its launch in November 2014, Borsa İstanbul Private Market organized an Entrepreneurship Training in cooperation with Özyeğin University Girişim Fabrikası on March 23-24, 2015.

The interactive training was offered to ensure that entrepreneurs grow their businesses and successfully realize the preparation process for investors, and covered topics including the roadmap for successful enterprises, methods that accelerate the entrepreneurship journey, performance measurement, investment process, preparing for the investor and relations with investors. Additionally, entrepreneurs delivered presentations to investors and were offered new ideas and were able to raise funds.

New Trainings on the Way

Private Market will continue to hold similar events in order to contribute to the growth of the entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Private Market’s members include 111 companies, 87 investors, 10 service providers, 3 rising company partners, and one brokerage house. The first trade on the Market was performed between the Market members Modanisa and STC Ventures on February 25, where the former raised total funds of US$ 5.5 million.

Private Market was awarded “The Best Stock Exchange Concretely Supporting Startups in South East Europe” within the scope of South East Excellence Awards by the Business Angels Association of Turkey (TBAA) and the European Trade Association for Business Angels, Seed Funds and Early Stage Market Players (EBAN), and the “Most Innovative Initiative of the Year” within the framework of the 3rd Turkey Innovation Week, held by Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM) with the support of the Turkish Ministry of Economy. The first trade on Private Market was realized with the investment in Modanisa. Currently, 10 companies are carrying out partnership negotiations on the Market.
