In his address at the Opening Bell Ceremony, Korkmaz Ergun, the CEO of Borsa İstanbul A.Ş., stated the following:

“Distinguished guests,

Today, I welcome you all to your home, to the Opening Bell Ceremony hosted by our Exchange as we celebrate the listing of Fuzul Gayrimenkul Yatırım Ortaklığı A.Ş. (REIT) at our Exchange.

Our company has built numerous houses and offices since the day it started operating in the construction sector. Thanks to a strategic decision, the company transformed into a real estate investment trust (REIT), launched an IPO and started to be traded on our Stock Exchange. I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate the Company's valuable executives for this strategic decision.

As such, the company has taken a significant step towards institutionalization. Taking this important step, Fuzul GYO now has 1.3 million new stakeholders who prefer to invest in the real estate sector through capital markets rather than buying real estate directly. The responsibility of the new stakeholders will contribute to the company's best implementation of corporate governance standards. As Borsa İstanbul, we stand by our companies and continue to support them in terms of institutionalization following the IPO.
