Launched in Belgium and quickly spreading across the globe, DevOpsDays was organized in Turkey for the first time. DevOpsDays were held in 22 cities, 11 countries, across 3 continents in 2015 and are organized in 24 cities including Istanbul this year. An opening bell ceremony was held to kick-start DevOpsDays event hosted by Borsa İstanbul.

First organized in 2009, DevOpsDays, a philosophy and method which brings together software developers and system managers on a different platform to ensure that they work together more efficiently, was held in İstanbul for the first time by Borsa İstanbul. Thanks to BISTECH transformation that went live last year, Borsa İstanbul gained significant ground in becoming a globally competitive company capable of developing and exporting advanced software technologies, and through DevOpsDays, Borsa İstanbul will play a leading role for Turkey’s national software sector in terms of content and ideas.

An opening bell ceremony was held at Borsa İstanbul on June 3 to celebrate the organization of DevOpsDays in Turkey for the first time. Wesley Pullen, General Manager and Vice President of Deployment Solutions at Electric Cloud; İlknur Okyay, Account Manager at Amazon Web Services; and Ufuk Özdemir, Acting Chief Information Officer at Borsa İstanbul rang the opening bell at the ceremony.

In his speech at the opening-bell ceremony, on behalf of Electric Cloud and Kalitek, Wesley Pullen, General Manager and Vice President of Deployment Solutions at Electric Cloud, said: “Partnering with Kalitek, Electric Cloud aims to help companies deliver better software faster than they ever imagined possible. DevsOpsDays is a technical conference for anyone interested in software, from software developers at the beginning of their careers to top managers.
