At the third “Trading Asia 2015” held in Chicago on November 3 this year, Borsa İstanbul Derivatives Market (VİOP) officials invited American investors to invest in VIOP.
At the panel held as part of “Trading Asia Symposium” held for the third time this year by Phillip Capital, speakers included Borsa İstanbul Head of Derivatives Muammer Çakır; Chief Executive Officer of the Dubai Gold & Commodities Exchange (DGCX) Gaurang Desai; Hong Kong Exchanges (HKEX) Managing Director and Head of Client Business Development Tae Seok Clement Yoo; Intercontinental Singapore Exchange (ICE Singapore) Senior Vice President, Financial Markets, Intercontinental Exchange Chris Edmonds; Osaka Exchange Senior Executive Vice President Kotaro Yamazawa; Korea Exchange (KRX) Managing Director and Global Head of Derivatives Sales, Linkage & Regulations Baeyong Kim; Singapore Exchange (SGX) Senior Vice President and Deputy Head of Sales Rama Pillai; and Tokyo Commodity Exchange President & CEO Takamichi Hamada. Eight exchanges participated in the panel this year, with more than 200 American institutional investors.
At the panel moderated by Phillip Futures CEO Che Chern Teyu, each exchange representative talked about the opportunities in the markets and answered detailed questions about their products.
The symposium attracted much interest, and American investors expressed their appreciation for the strong traded value performance of Borsa İstanbul Derivatives Market (VIOP).
Borsa İstanbul Head of Derivatives Muammer Çakır argued that investors should choose to invest in VIOP on the grounds that the traded value in VIOP increased by 49% on contract basis in the first three quarters of 2015, while the traded value in currency futures contracts increased by 219% during the same period. The number of options contracts increased by ten fold to reach TL 4 billion, and Borsa İstanbul VIOP was the fastest growing derivatives market of the world in 2015 with its traded value increase performance.
During the symposium, VIOP officials held one-on-one meetings with investors and were able to promote VIOP products, sharing information on the high traded value increase on VIOP.
