Borsa İstanbul is a bronze sponsor for the 6th Istanbul Finance Summit. In his opening speech at the Summit held at Istanbul Hilton Convention Center, Borsa İstanbul CEO Tuncay Dinç said that a major target of Borsa İstanbul is to create a network of regional exchanges covering the Balkans, Central Asia, North Africa and the Middle East. Dinç stated that Borsa İstanbul participates in a total of four exchanges including Montenegro Stock Exchange with a stake of 24.4% since 2013, as well as Baku, Sarajevo and Kyrgyz Exchanges, adding, “All of these initiatives are aimed at making Istanbul a regional hub and a global actor.  Borsa İstanbul will ensure that Turkey reaches its goals of an export volume of US$ 500 billion and economic size of US$ 2 trillion”.

The theme of the Summit was “Navigating through the Global Low Growth and Low Interest Rate Environment”. During the Summit, central bank governors of various countries discussed the worries regarding the slowdown of the global economic growth and low interest rates.
