İz Hayvancılık Tarım ve Gıda Sanayi A.Ş. operates in the agriculture and stock-breeding sector on a total area of 178,000 m² area, of which 20,000 m² is indoor space, in Lüleburgaz district of Kırklareli. The shares of the company began to be traded on the Emerging Companies Market (ECM) with the ticker code “IZTAR” at a price of ¨ 2.73 following a gong ceremony on November 12, 2013.

Seven companies went public in 2013 and started to be traded on both the Equity Market and ECM, generating proceeds of nearly ¨ 4.5 billion, said Aydın Seyman, Executive Vice President of Borsa İstanbul, as he spoke at the gong ceremony for İz Hayvancılık Tarım. Seyman said that applications by 15 and 10 companies to go public and be traded on the Equity Market and ECM respectively are being examined. He added that with the introduction of İz Hayvancılık Tarım, there are now 418 companies being traded on Borsa İstanbul.
“İz Hayvancılık Tarım, which is involved in agriculture and stock-breeding business, is the latest result of Borsa İstanbul’s Public Offering Campaign. İz Hayvancılık Tarım offered 44.95 percent of its shares to the public on November 6, generating net funds of ¨ 7.6 million. The public offering took place with fixed price sales method without book building" on the Primary Market of Borsa İstanbul, and it was completed on the first day of the public offering, receiving demand that was nearly twice as much.
In his speech during the public offering ceremony, Sinan Araç, Chairman of the Board of İz Hayvancılık Tarım, expressed his pleasure for the forthcoming trading of the company on Borsa İstanbul. He said the funds that will be generated from the public offering would be invested in agriculture business and retail milk sales project. “As a result of the investments we will make, we are going to distinguish ourselves as a producer of highly efficient and good quality milk in Turkey, and with the implementation of the retail milk sales project, we are going to deliver our milk to consumers directly. We will continue to increase milk production to reach full capacity with 760 dairy cows in 2015, raising the milk production capacity to 22 tons from the current figure of 12 tons. We primarily want to rid ourselves of the short-term bank loans in the amount of ¨2 million by using the funds of ¨ 7.6 million we are going to generate from the public offering. In addition, we aim to use a large part of the public offering revenue in agriculture investments to diversify the business and spread our risk. Within the scope of the agriculture investment, we are going to invest in fructiferous orchards and in nurseries that will sell saplings," he said.
