Due to an operational and software problem on the BISTECH Trading System at 10:04 am, transactions in all markets were suspended at 10:33 am on September 26, 2018 and after the problem was solved, our markets were resumed in the following hours.

- Debt Securities Market - 14:00
- Precious Metals and Diamond Markets - 14:00
- Derivatives Market (VIOP) - 14:25

Within this scope, the necessary explanations were made on the Public Disclosure Platform at 10:49 am, 12:07 am and 1:41 pm respectively. The problem has occured while transferring some data in the BISTECH platform to the trader workstations and data broadcasters, and there is absolutely no cyber attack.

The most important issue in system management is the practice of risk management processes and each new technical problem should be solved by a new measure protocol. Hence, the problem experienced today has taken place in the risk management processes and protocols of the corporate memory.

The system continuity is expressed as the concept of ‘uptime’ in Global Stock Exchange activities, and Borsa İstanbul is at the top of this league. Considering that problems similar to those experienced today can occur from time to time in global stock exchanges, forward-looking measures will be taken forward.
