In his address at the Opening Bell Ceremony, Korkmaz Ergun, the CEO of Borsa İstanbul A.Ş., stated the following:

Operating Çatalağzı Thermal Power Plant, the first thermal power plant of our country, today with modern facilities, Çates Eektrik assumes a significant role in providing energy to the industry of our country. By deciding to be traded on Borsa İstanbul in order to utilize our traditional energy resources more efficiently, the Company is taking an important step in achieving its goals of strengthening its equity capital as well as mitigating financing costs and strengthening its corporate structure.
